Charlotte Bobcats rookie Kemba Walker has signed a shoe endorsement deal with Under Armour according to CNBC. Walker was the #9 overall selection in last months NBA draft. Walker was the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding player last season as he lead UCONN to a National Championship.
Kemba isn’t the only Charlotte draft pick to recently sign a deal with Under Armour; Carolina Panthers #1 draft pick Cam Newton is also an Under Armour athlete. But Kemba’s deal comes as a surprise because one could only assume Jordan Brand would sign him as the Bobcats owner is Michael Jordan. Im sure Jordan will give his young player a hard time about it next season.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
