Summer League is a time for hope, potential and character

I may be in the minority, but I love watching NBA Summer League games. I love watching these young guys, who most have a long shot at best to make a training camp roster, go out and play their hearts out on court as they try to achieve their dreams.

You also have these draft picks, who are assured a roster spot, playing against these hungry guys and trying not to get outplayed.

You see a lot of character in these games.

The Bobcats start their Summer League season on Friday Night in Las Vegas. All games will be televised on NBA TV.

The team will feature the Bobcats’ number two overall pick from a year ago, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and their second round pick from that same draft, Jeff Taylor. Bismack Biyombo, the team’s center of the future will also play alongside the team’s power forward of the future, Cody Zeller.
