2014 Season Tickets are Now On-Sale to the General Public, Club Seats are Sold Out

(Uptown Charlotte, NC) – Baseball in Charlotte, NC will officially return to the Queen City on Friday, April 11, 2014, as announced earlier today at a press conference held at the BB&T Ballpark site. Members of the Charlotte Knights front office staff, along with Frances Crockett, former co-owner and GM of the Charlotte O’s, were on hand to share the exciting news at the team’s future Uptown Charlotte home.

“After over 25 years since the last professional baseball game was played in Charlotte (August 31, 1988), we will be returning home on April 11, 2014 at 7:05 p.m. against the Norfolk Tides,” said Charlotte Knights Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Dan Rajkowski. “The long awaited return of professional baseball back to the Center City is so exciting for our staff, fans, and the community. It will truly be a celebrated and memorable occasion.”

Wednesday’s press conference also brought with it two other significant announcements. First, club seats for BB&T Ballpark are officially off the market. The team announced that all club seats at BB&T Ballpark are officially sold out.

BB&T Ballpark Club Seats, which first went on-sale on Wednesday, May 29, include two areas known as the “Upper Club” and “Home Plate Club”. The Upper Club will feature approximately 170 padded seats situated just 50 feet away from the playing field. The Home Plate Club Seats feature approximately 800 padded seats in the five sections located directly behind home plate on the lower level.

With that, Rajkowski also announced that 2014 season tickets are now on-sale to the general public. Previously, existing Charlotte Knights season ticket holders and sponsors were able to purchase season tickets to BB&T Ballpark. About 1,000 season tickets for BB&T Ballpark have already been sold.

Field Box season tickets start at $756 per seat or only $10.50 per ticket per game. A minimum deposit of $150 is required per season ticket. Also, any fan that signs up by August 15 will receive a voucher good for two tickets during the team’s final weekend at Knights Stadium in 2013. Package includes same seat for 70 home games (excludes two school days), plus two ticket vouchers good for a field box seat during the regular season. Season ticket agreements are for two and four year terms.
