RALEIGH, NC – FOX Sports Carolinas and the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes today announced that 81 of the team’s 82 regular season games during the 2015-16 season will be televised by the regional sports network. 70 of the games will be carried on FOX Sports Carolinas, while 11 of the games will be aired on FOX Sports Southeast(formerly SportSouth). In addition to the 81 games that will air on FOX Sports Carolinas and FOX Sports Southeast, the January 26th Hurricanes game against the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks will be televised nationally on NBCSN.
John Forslund will enter his 21st season as the team’s television play-by-play voice, while former goaltender Tripp Tracy will return for his 17th season as color analyst for the Hurricanes game telecasts on FOX Sports Carolinas and FOX Sports Southeast. Joining the Hurricanes broadcast team this season is Michelle McMahon, who will serve as host of “Hurricanes LIVE” before every game and will serve as the team’s sideline reporter as well.
Overflow channel information for carriers that don’t carry FOX Sports Southeast on their regular lineups will be widely distributed via the team’s website, CarolinaHurricanes.com, social media, and during game telecasts prior to each Carolina Hurricanes game.
