Hornets single-game tickets go on sale September 24th

The Charlotte Hornets announced today that tickets for all home games will go on sale this Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Time Warner Cable Arena box office, hornets.com, ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 1-800-4NBA-TIX(462-2849).

The home opener will take place on Sunday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena, with all fans in attendance receiving a teal Hornets tuxedo t-shirt courtesy of Lowe’s.

In addition, the Hornets revealed their initial list of promotional giveaways for the 2015-16 season, including hats, t-shirts, and duffel bags.  The first 7,500 fans in attendance at the December 12th game versus Boston will receive a Hornets-themed duffel bag, and on December 26th, the first 7,500 fans will receive a Hornets winter knit hat when Charlotte takes on the Memphis Grizzlies.  For the January 16th game against Milwaukee, the first 10,000 fans will receive a Hugo the Hornet plush hat courtesy of Novant Health.  Fan Appreciation Night will take place on April 8th, with a Hornets-themed t-shirt giveaway to the first 7,500 fans.

“Between our off-season additions and our upcoming trip to China, there is continued excitement around our team entering this season.” said Fred Whitfield, President/COO of Hornets Sports and Entertainment.

Another part of the home schedule will have six “Buzz City” nights, in which the team will wear their black sleeved “Pride” uniform with the words “Buzz City” adorning the front of the jersey. The games will be a celebration of the fans energy and enthusiasm of both, the Hornets and the City of Charlotte, and will commence on December 2nd, when Charlotte squares off against Stephen Curry and the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors at “The Hive”.  Additional “Buzz City” nights will occur on the following dates:

  • December 28th: vs. L.A. Lakers
  • January 23rd: vs. New York Knicks
  • February 5th: vs. Miami Heat
  • March 12th: vs. Houston Rockets
  • April 1st: vs. Philadelphia 76ers

18 weekend dates will fill the spectrum of this year’s regular season home schedule for the Hornets, including a pair of visits from LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers(November 27th and February 3rd), a pair of match-ups against Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat(December 9th and February 5th), and one game each against Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and the L.A. Clippers(December 30th) and Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and the Oklahoma City Thunder(January 2nd).
