The Charlotte Checkers announced today a time change for the Sunday, January 17th game against the Manitoba Moose at Bojangles’ Coliseum. Instead of the puck dropping at 4:30 p.m., it will be pushed one hour later to 5:30 p.m. This is due to the Carolina Panthers NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks at Bank of America Stadium, which will kick-off at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. “We wanted to give everyone who wanted to watch the Panther game an opportunity to do so and still get to our game with plenty of time.” said Checkers Chief Operating Officer Tera Black.
Fans that have already purchased tickets prior to that time can be used for entry to that game with no additional action required on part of all Checkers ticket holders. Checkers season and mini-plan holders that have not yet received their notification from the Checkers that have questions or concerns may speak to their ticket representative by calling the Checkers offices at 704-342-4423.
After a successful West Coast road trip, the Charlotte Checkers, who are in a midst of a franchise-record 12-game point streak(10-0-2), will open up a 6-game homestand starting tomorrow night at Bojangles’ Coliseum as they take on the Grand Rapids Griffins(Detroit Red Wings affiliate) with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
