RALEIGH, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes announced today its exhibition schedule prior to the start of the 2016-17 season. The announcement was made by Brian Tatum, the Hurricanes Assistant General Manager. Carolina will play seven exhibition games prior to the start of the season, which includes two home games at PNC Arena in Raleigh.
Carolina’s exhibition game schedule will kickoff on September 26th in Washington against the Capitals at the Verizon Center and on the following night(September 27th), the Hurricanes will fly down to Tampa Bay to face the Lightning. The first of the Hurricanes two exhibition home games will be on September 30th, as the Tampa Bay Lighting will pay a visit to PNC Arena, before hitting the road for a three-game road trip, beginning in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 2nd against the Minnesota Wild. The Hurricanes will participate in the Kraft Hockeyville game on October 4th as they take on the Buffalo Sabres in Marquette, MI, before facing them again this time around in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on October 5th. The exhibition schedule for the Hurricanes will wrap up on October 7th as they take on the Washington Capitals in Raleigh.
