The Charlotte Hornets announced today its slate of preseason games in preparations for the 2017-18 season, and the team will play 5 preseason games this upcoming October, including two home preseason contests at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
Charlotte will open up its preseason slate on October 2nd in Boston against the Celtics at TD Garden, then two days later on October 4th, the Hornets will visit the brand new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit to take on the Pistons. The road portion of the preseason schedule will wrap up on October 9th in Miami at AmericanAirlines Arena as they face off against Southeast Division foe Miami.
October 11th will be the first opportunity for Hornets fans to see the new-look squad at home inside the Spectrum Center, highlighted by Dwight Howard, along with Kemba Walker, Malik Monk, and the rest of the crew, as they take on the Boston Celtics, and new addition Kyrie Irving in the first of two home preseason games at “The Hive”, with tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m. on October 11th, and on October 13th, the preseason schedule will come to a close for the Hornets, as they welcome in the Dallas Mavericks to town for a 6:00 p.m start.
Tickets for both of the Hornets preseason home games at the Spectrum Center will go on sale at a later date, and fans can listen to all of the Hornets preseason games on flagship station WFNZ 610 AM/102.5 FM The FAN in the Charlotte area, and throughout the Carolinas on the Hornets Radio Network.
